Design for Reducing Bearing Force Ripple and Torque Ripple of Integrated Magnetic Bearing Motor through Halbach Array

When a magnetic bearing is used in the design of high-speed motor, no friction and wear occur because principle levitation; however, size entire system increases. An integrated motor with inserted inside rotor that can minimize increase system. In this study, method to reduce force ripple torque an through parameters for Halbach array permanent magnet tapering proposed. designing located rotor, influence flux stator on should be minimized. By combining fluxes bearing, at back yoke, saturation occurs, performance ripples decreases. The according were analyzed using finite element analysis. average maximized, was minimized parameters. Thus, validity main variables selected improve output characteristics confirmed.
